Non-Attendance at Appointments

We have a policy on managing patients who regularly do not attend (DNA) appointments at the surgery to ensure that our services are adequately utilised by those who need it.

If you do not attend for an appointment this will be recorded in your medical record as a ‘Did Not Attend’ DNA.  You will be informed of the DNA by text message if we have your mobile number of our system.

If you do not attend 3 booked appointments within a 12 month period, we will write to you with a final warning letter.  When under a final warning, any non-attendance at any appointment at the surgery within the next 12 months, will result in the Practice Manager highlighting this to the Partners who will consider taking action against your registration.  This may result in you being removed from our patient list and you may be advised to register at another local surgery.  All patients deducted from our list are informed of the deduction via letter.  The Partners decision on removal for regular DNAs if final.

Appointments - Keep them or cancel them, please don’t waste them!
